Spalting occurs when lumber is has begun to decompose, but the process is halted by the milling and drying processes. Locally harvested spalted maple lumber, reclaimed and reused as a bedside valet. Genuine pigskin leather inserts. All lumber sourced from local trees in central Pennsylvania.
 
Finished with a shop-made varnish, polished with a shop-made beeswax conditioner created using beeswax from a locally owned, family operated apiary.
